Many of you visitors have asked for some of my painting sessions to be recorded, and for me to share some tips. I will be trying throughout the course of these videos to offer just that. It's a lot of fun putting these together and I hope you have as much fun watching!
Every once in awhile we witness the end of an era. In the passing of Frank Frazetta we see the end of almost 70 years of fantastic art. This man is iconic, and linked with some of the classic names of fantastic fiction. One cannot call to mind images such as Kull, Conan, or The DeathDealer without seeing a Frazetta image. Artists such as Brom, Vallejo, and others all owe their style to him. He was an inspiration, a legendary talent, and a creative whose like will not be seen again in this life. Godspeed Frank.
Updates with some exciting new contracts. New project links coming soon. New artwork on the way, once I get a breath to get it done. Featured in this month's Big Iron Vault magazine! You can find it here! http://www.bigironvault.com
Work continues! Good news right? There are a quartet of new pics over in the portfolio section. Head over to check out Nixnax, Pip, The Bartender and the cover for Marcus Mastin's new novel.
I wish everyone the best in the New Year, and keep in touch over in my blog.
This is a repost of a friend's link, most of you already know this fellow, for those that may not, please take a moment to support him, and vote for his comic Daemon's sphere at the link below.
Hey all,
My comic has finally appeared on Zudacomics.com. Titled Daemon's Sphere, its a treasure hunting adventure series set during the peak of the cold war. The protagonist of the series, Reginal Daemon, works for an unamed, top secret, organization within the American government. It is his job to keep artifacts of... Extra Terrestrial origin out of the hands of the Soviets.
It's a competition. If I win I will get to sign a paying contract to finish the rest of the series.
I would really appreciate it if you guys could go there, sign up for an account (which is very easy), give the comic a read and give it a vote. It would also really help if you could rate it 5 stars and make it one of your favorites. Adding a comment in the commentary section helps too.
Those in the office, if you could wait till you get home to sign up as it would be best that not all of the logins are coming from the same couple IPs that are available there.
Finished with another in the black and white series for Scarlet Frost the Goblin Engineer is hard at work at his forge. You can check out the other 3 in the series there as well.
Well I am officially launching the site. There will be ongoing tweaks throughout the rest of the year, but I feel comfortable and confident with what we have built. Thanks to Gill for all his help, Nick for nothing at all, and Christina for all her input!
It wouldn't be proper news without announcing the birth of my son Cormac on Sept. 26!
He was 8lbs. 5oz. and 21 and a quarter inches long!
Getting very close to launching the new site now. Completed the References, Links, and Contact Section. Portfolio is complete. Moving on to some additional artwork.
